Batman Discussions
| | Is the new Batman movie good? | | Recently i saw in news-paper that the new batman movie is a big hit(in India). I have not seen the movie. If anyone has seen please tell me if it worth watching. Thanks for reading:> | |
| | what's next for the batman? | | Commissioner Gordon has broken the bat signal, Two-Face is dead, Rachel is dead, the best joker, thus far, Heath Ledger is dead, what's next for the batman? Of all the Batman actors, I like Christian Bale the most. He's the most credible especially in the fight scenes.. So if they are going to do another Batman, I do hope it's with Christian Bale again. But I do wonder, what will they present next in the Dark Knight movie series? Will they show Robin, the Penguin, Riddler? Any info? | |
| | Batman Rumors - Riddler | | With the new batman movie, the Dark Knight, making so much money, it's only natural that rumors have started concerning another Batman movie. The current frontrunning rumors appear to have Johnny Depp as the Riddler and Seymour Phillip Hoffman as the Penguin. There may also be a possibility of Angelina Jolie as catwoman. Any of these would be good in my humble opinion, but Depp as the riddler appears to be the best one. What do you think | |
| | What Do You Think About Robin For The Nolan-Bale Batman Series? | | I just watched "The Dark Knight," and my girlfriend asked me about Robin appearing in the new franchise. Personally, not familiar with the comic books, I really only know two origins for Robin, the one in the animated series and Chris O'Donnell's performance in "batman forever." My preference is actually for the animated version, but the largest differences in the film are that Robin is significantly older and his parents are killed by Two-Face, not the mafia.
I must say, personally, I do not see Robin coming out of Nolan's version of Gotham City. However, if one watches "Batman: The Animated Series," specifically the two-part episode entitled, "Robin's Reckoning," (This is available in five installments on YouTube) then you, like me, could agree that Richard Grayson may yet appear in the series. I can see Nolan adding the burdens of a father to Bruce, who would obviously see himself in the young Richard. Grayson does not have to become Robin, but I can definitely see Bruce adopting an orphan of mafia violence. And on that note, if he adopts Grayson in one movie, the kid could be older in the next and could be training to follow Batman, but not...
| | Batman curse? | | On my break I was watching Showbiz tonight on CNN and they were talking about the "Batman" curse. They are talking about Heath Ledger's death and now how the FBI wants to talk to Mary-Kate; the charges filed against Christian Bale by his mother; and finally the serious car crash that Morgan Freeman was in last night. What does anybody else think of this curse theory? I think it's just silly nonsense and everything is just an eerie coincidence. | |
| | Do I need to have watched Batman Begins to appreciate The Dark Knight? | | I want to see The Dark Knight because of all the publicity and people saying how great it is - Heath Ledger's performance sounds and looks fantastic from what I've read and the photos I've seen. I should be able to get to see it in a cinema next week.
Will The Dark Knight make sense on it's own or do you need to have seen batman begins first to fully understand the plot (I know batman begins is a reinvention/reboot of the francise & I've seen the first three films, bits of the tv series, read some of the comics..)? My local cinema is only a small independent and doesn't get films til later - so should I try and go and see it (TDK) next week or wait and see if it gets shown here and watch BB first?
| | Worst version of Batman | | Batman and Robin or the Adam West tv series? It's been a while but the the series was a laugh - wasn't meant to be serious, hated it as a child though - back when it was repeated on Ch4 in the 80s.Haven't seen Batman and Robin, didn't bother with it but remember it getting loads of bad reviews, and the publicity art/photos still look rediculous - especially the bat nipples lol.Liked Batman Forever when it came out, remember it as ok but nothing compared to Batman & batman returns. | |
| | Batman vs The Mummy | | These two movies are the latest chart-busting craze to hit town: Batman The dark Knight and The Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Have you seen it already? Or any one of them? Both are great movies! I liked Batman better though. For me, the first Mummy series were better than this new one. What about you, fellow myLotter, which movie among the two did you like better? Batman vs The Mummy and why? | |
