In my opinion, I think those songs from back in the day had actual meaning. The artists wrote from their hearts when they were going through something. Most older people say... what has happened to good music these days.... what has happened to the quality of music these days...all u hear on the radio these days are song about b's and h's...materialic things..how much money someone has or the bling they have...or making someone behind clap...i am so sick of it...what... what song do you listen to when you are sad? I listen to earth, wind, and fire and other sad songs that I can find in youtube. How about you? Some songs by Barbara Streisand are also good. what is your favorite heartbreak song? I love the "after the love has gone" by steps. I also love the "after the love has gone" and "every now and then" by earth, wind, and fire. These songs are great catharsis.
