Folding Chair Discussions
| Curiosity (and a sore back) has me asking all mylotters what kind of chair do | | you have for sitting on the computer or using the internet? I have just a plain old card table folding chair. I know, it is pathetic, but there really is nothing better around. I am regretting this poor choice of chairs lately as it is really starting to kill my back, but I was curious as to what other users like and why? Let me know your preference. I need some help deciding what I should spend my hard earned money on! lol | |
| | Where do you do your best writing? | | I'm really trying to get writing again, but I'm having a difficult time finding a comfortable place to write. I almost always write on the computer, but neither of my computers are conducive to working. I have a metal folding chair at my desktop, after I had to give up my really comfy rolling chair. I would love to write on my laptop, but when I sit down on the futon, it's so comfy that I don't want to work!:)Where do you find that you get your best writing done? Do you have a special chair or area for writing?

| | I Went to Summerslam!! | | As some of you know - I went to Summerslam - we weren't in the 4th row like I thought but the 11th row on the floor. It was awesome!! It's a little hard for the kids to see the ring because of everyone standing but they loved it!! In the past, I've been to see Monday night RAW live when they film in NJ but this pay per view was a even better show! Like I said my friend's husband gets the tickets for us so we always get really good seats. Last time for RAW we were ringside!! As some of you may know, floor seats come with a memorabilia take home folding chair for that event - this time is was Triple H and we were one row away from getting the chair!! That was disappointing but other than that it was a great show!! Can't wait till they are back for Monday Night Raw! Once I saw Smackdown there too!! | |
| | Do you sit outdoors during the summer? | | When is the most likely time for you to sit outdoors? Do you have any particular ritual (ie, beer/soda in left hand, folding chair in the yard, on patio furniture) that you endulge in?I sit outdoors a couple times a week, usually when I am grilling dinner. I love to just go out there and enjoy the end of the day warmth and smell that barbeque. I usually have water when I go out, because it is my beverage of choice and I sit on a picnic table we have out back. | |
| | Is anyone else as excited as me to see Kane turn into a psycho heel? | | Sure Kane got pinned by Batista, but you had to know either Batista or Cena would win the match. Then Kane went crazy and was about to chokeslam Michael Cole. Once Lawler got in the way, Kane put one of his many submission holds on him. I'm glad to see WWE doing this because it makes sense. Kane lost the ECW title to Mark Henry who wasn't announced to being in his match with Big Show until the last minute. Naturally, Kane should go crazy! Remember when he set J.R on fire and "broke" HBK's neck by wrapping a folding chair around it, then stomping on it? I'm interested in seeing where they go with this. Maybe Kane will cost Batista the title at the Bash. I hope they wait awhile before doing the inevitable Kane-Punk match. | |
| | What do you do when you and your mate get into each others' nerves? | | Today, me and my hubby are both invisible! I get out of his way and vise versa.
It's one of those days when you simply become territorial and just want a little
bit of space. I propped-up my easel and got the blank canvas in place, had the brush right in my hand but that's about it. The 'fairy god creativity' doesn't come today! Ooomph!I found myself toting my folding chair to every shady place outside the house with my laptop. I went on the side but bloody little insects were feeding on me. I went under the cherry tree and bugs, dried leaves and cherries were dropping like they've found sanctuary on my hair! Yep, thank goodness, we have quite a big backyard and lots of plants and trees that I can do a camouflage technique and disintegrate amongst them. Hoping I won't be seen by anyone![em]w00t[/em] Finally, I found a perfect place to disappear! Right under the deck where it's shady and got lots of cool breeze coming in, amongst the ferns and hostas. It's too hot to attack the garden so I decided to indulge with myLot and other biz stuffs that I have. I'd probably be looking at sitting in my b*tt until
the sun goes down, which at this time of the year will be... | |
| | Do you know someone that lives like a pig, a pack rat or a cat? | | Perhaps you know people that are like a "Pig". They are the ones that comes home and the first thing they always do is throw their bag and coat on the floor near the front door, fling their shoes off so that one ends up in the empty fish tank and the other behind the piles of dirty clothing lying under the kitchen table. It is not a normal thing for you to actually see floor surface in their home and if strange wild mammals happen to be roaming around foraging for food in the huge piles of pizza boxes and Chinese restaurant take-out cartons, it doesn't bother them because they have become quite acclimated to living in a place that is slightly messier that a city dump.Maybe you know someone that likes to hoard like a "Pack Rat". They take anything that is gifted, bought or found by them and display it in stacks and piles in every corner of their home as if they were trying to operate a historical junk museum. Large stacks of newspapers dating back to 1931, a broken folding chair lying on a ripped leather arm chair covered by moldy quilts, a smaller TV set on top of a larger broken TV set, little trinkets, do-dads and thing-a-ma-jigs lying everywhere with a "Ma Bell" rotary... | |
| | Something funny happened... | | Okay, so this may or may not be funny depending on how uptight you are, but I'm going to repeat it here anyone, because I'm sure that someone can relate to it.About a week ago I was watching my nephew, age 2 and my neice, age 5 months. Now, I had gotten to their house at 7 am and their mom left for work. From the minute that my sister stepped out the door Cameron (the 2 year old) started screaming. Not crying, not tears, but full blown, deep breaths screaming his little lungs out.The day proceeded in much the same manner. After four or five hours of Cam crying and the baby crying because her brother is crying, I go out on the balcony for a smoke.I don't usually let the boy come out when I'm smoking, but since he was banging his little forehead against the sliding glass door I went a head and let him out.The baby is inside with a bottle, and I can see her starting to nod off. So, Cameron decides that he is going to open the storage door and pull this chair out. He's having trouble with it because its kinda bulky and its a metal folding chair and the kids two. So I grab the back of it and pick it up so I can help him move it out of the storage.He... | |
