who loves swarovski? i do!!!
Swarovski is the luxury brand name for the range of precision-cut crystal glass products produced by companies owned by Swarovski AG of Feldmeilen, near Zürich, Switzerland. The Swarovski Group also includes Tyrolit (makers of abrasive and cutting tools); Swareflex (reflective and luminous road markings); Signity (synthetic gemstones); and Swarovski Optik (optical instruments). The company runs a crystal-themed indoor theme park, Swarovski Kristallwelten (Crystal Worlds) at its original Wattens site.
Outdoor Survival Schools....
Have you ever heard of the Boulder Outdoor Survival School (BOSS)? It seems they have been around since the '60's but have become more well known since the reality shows like Survivor came into being. They have been written up in the NY Times, USA Today, Men's Health and lots of other well known publications. I found a lot of information on exactly what they do and thought you might be interested in reading about it. I'm wondering if anyone would be daring enough to sign up for one of their courses. *************************************************The BOSS field course has been it’s “signature” trip since 1968. It consists of Ultra-lite travel through Southern Utah’s mountains, mesas and canyon’s with little more than a blanket, poncho and a knife. No tents, backpacks, sleeping bags or stoves. Definitely no watches, radios or cell phones. Your goal is to learn to live in “the now” as your small group hikes many miles and learns the skills of traditional Puebloan cultures. Not for the faint of heart, a BOSS field course is for those seeking a challenge and a chance to renew. The course is offered in 7-14 and 28 day formats.BOSS Skills Courses are typically held in our Durfey...
Do you use scissors to cut coupons?
Wife: Do you see it? Husband: What? Wife: Where is it? Husband: WHERE is WHAT? Wife: My scissors!! Husband: What do you want them for?The wife picked up the newspaper and pointed to a bright red coupon that screamed 70% OFF. It was a discount coupon for yet*another* sale. Guess what the husband did?He took the page from her, grabbed a biscuit tin nearby and tore the coupon off using a side of the tin. How ingenious, isn't it?:PFor me, I don't keep scissors in my room. I keep a penknife instead for use when I need to cut really straight edges. Most of the times though, especially when it comes to e.g. sale or lucky draw coupons, I will just grab an object with straight edges and use it. I don't even bother with finding a straight ruler. What about you? Do you use scissors when you need to cut such things? Or do you use a penknife? Or a ruler? Or a biscuit tin? Or a...? Do share your thoughts.;-)
Have you tried digital scrapbooking and if so do you like it?
I enjoy scrapbooking, but I don't spend a lot of money on it. I don't own any special equipment or cutting tools etc. I haven't tried digital scrapbooking, but I keep hearing about it. Has anyone tried it and if so do you recommend it? Which do you prefer?
