In my opinion, I think those songs from back in the day had actual meaning. The artists wrote from their hearts when they were going through something. I listen to earth, wind, and fire and other sad songs that I can find in youtube. How about you? Some songs by Barbara Streisand are also good. what is your favorite heartbreak song? I love the "after the love has gone" by steps. I also love the "after the love has gone" and "every now and then" by earth, wind, and fire. These songs are great catharsis.
